Hand in Hand
As a woman, I feel blessed to have grown up in North America, spending my first 30 years in Canada, and my next 30 years in the US.. With the Bible’s teachings influencing our society, we have enjoyed a position of esteem and value that so many women in the world have not….. I grew up feeling equal to men, I was not someone’s property, and was encouraged to learn, grow and become who God created me to be…. His beloved daughter, unique and deeply cherished.
Not every wife and mom, no matter what your geography, can relate to this scenario. No matter where you grew up or whether you experienced something similar, you are deeply loved by the God who created you. Made in His likeness, which is pretty hard to fathom!
I cannot think of anything better than walking hand-in-hand through every day of my life with the Creator of the universe as my guide, provider and comfort, no matter what, no matter where!.
That feels like true freedom to me!
